The project is about supporting the reintegration of offenders and ex-offenders into society by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and competencies necessary for sustainable personal and professional development. It focuses on the development of a comprehensive Training Toolkit and a set of practical guidelines tailored for organisations working with this target group.
Through a variety of innovative and diverse learning formats—including e-courses, webinars, face-to-face sessions, and VR-based educational games—the project aims to enhance key social and professional competencies. These learning materials are designed to help individuals navigate career pathways, improve decision-making, and build life skills essential for social inclusion and employability.
Recognising the responsibility of correctional institutions to prepare individuals for life beyond incarceration, the project addresses the need to equip adults exiting these systems with real opportunities for acceptance into society. This includes fostering new occupational skills, strengthening social competencies, and increasing their ability to make life choices that steer them away from cycles of repeated criminal behaviour. By focusing on individual learning needs and fostering competencies relevant across employment and entrepreneurship sectors, the project promotes meaningful second chances and long-term reintegration.
